Acid Reflux, Heartburn

1 success story about acid reflux, heartburn.

I was referred to Dr. Matthew Flory through my husband, as senior intern at Logan Chiropractic College. Prior to this introduction, I had never thought about chiropractic care or the potential benefit I could receive. Phil, my husband, was especially interested in having me see Dr. Flory as he practices upper cervical spinal correction a specialization within the field of chiropractic health.

I came to Dr. Flory with a history of childhood cancer. I was diagnosed with acute lymphocetic leukemia (A.L.L) at the age of nine. After two years of chemotherapy treatment, I relapsed and had a bone-marrow transplant. While I survived the cancer, I never quite achieved wellness in my post-transplant years. Thus, I developed a variety of medical problems.

I was diagnoses with complete ovarian failure and was given birth control pills to treat my hormonal deficiencies. Eventually my thyroid was removed due to suspicious cells and I was prescribed thyroid medication. I later developed high blood pressure (130/92) despite a healthy diet and weight. My cholesterol sky-rocketed into the upper 300s with a high LDL and a low HDL count. I also battled chronic depression and was given a prescription for Zoloft.

After seeing Dr. Matt regularly, my blood pressure has dropped to an average of 80/64. I was able to stop taking the birth control pills and my hormone levels went from that of a seventy year old woman in menopause to a twenty year old woman in her prime. I am currently twenty-six years old. I am taking care of myself nutritionally as well because I feel it enhances my spinal corrections.

I am currently experiencing a retracing in my body as my spine heals. I can feel past treatments and toxicities run throughout my body. As they pass, I am free to sense a deeper sense of wellness within myself. I suppose the most amazing part of my treatment is that within a matter of months, I am healed from issues I was told I would experience for a lifetime. +
